How To Get Great Leads for Your Business!

I am often asked how I get leads for my company Numis Network http://numisnetwork.com/peterolsen . The leads come from a multitude of sources and they are all things that anyone can do at anytime with any business.  Let me list all the different ways I get multiple endless leads for my gold and silver company.

1. Warm Market- Get back in touch with those people you know.  Ask them if they know anyone who is looking for your service.  You will be suprised at how many leads you get and many times its often them who need your product or service.

2. New people you meet- We all meet people everyday no matter where we are.  The grocery store, gas station, airport, work, sporting events, kids functions, mall etc.  When you meet someone new build some common ground and ask them what they do for a living.  Inevitably they will ask you the same question and you can very graciously ask them if they know anyone who needs your service or product.

3. Rotary Club or Networking Events- Become a member of your local rotary or networking organization.  Great way to meet new people and let people know what you do for a living.  Remember they not only might become your client or customer but they know lots of people who might also!

4. Social Media- I think when I last checked Facebook had 700,000,000 million people on its site.  That would make it the 3rd largest country in the world if it was a country! Pretty amazing.  Reach out to new people on Facebook and build rapport and take an interest in them.  They will check you out and see what you do for a living.  Once you take an interest in them you can ever so easily ask them if they know anyone in need of your product or service.  700,000,000 people should last you another 100 lifetimes as far as leads are concerned!  There is also Twitter, Google Plus, Plaxo, LinkedIn etc.  You get the idea!

5. Have a Grand Opening- Have a grand opening at your home and invite as many people as you can to it.  You can show them a presentation and have food and drink.  This is a wonderful way to let people know your in business and to share it with others.

Have You Found A Way To Give Back To Others?

There is not 1 thing more satisfying in life than reaching out and helping others. The joy that abounds from that is something earning money cannot even come close to touching! To bring peace and a helping hand to a person, family or animal is the ultimate of why we are all here as humans.

 

 

 

How would you know what organization you would like to help? That is very simple! What is important to you? What stirs your heart? Whose pain do you feel? I love animals so any chance I get I go to the Humane Society to volunteer and walk the animals and give them attention. It is such an amazing feeling to help those animals out! What do you love? How can you help??

 

 

Volunteer

 

When you volunteer you get back way more than you give! Did you know research shows that people who volunteer have longer more fulfilling lives, get sick less often, think more positively about themselves, and have a much higher sense of purpose for their lives then those that dont! Those that volunteer on average have higher paying jobs than those that don't.

 

 

 

Another huge benefit of volunteering is that you meet like minded successful individuals. Great opportunities come out of that relationship with others. You never know who you will meet or what other career options someone might have and they are more likely to hire someone who is like minded as they are.

 

 

 

Zig Ziglar said it best. He said, "You can get anything in life you want if you will just help enough other people get what they want." How true that is!

Who Is Your Financial Mentor?

I often hear othes complain about how poorly they are doing financially.  They complain about their job and how terrible it is.  They complain that they don't get paid enough.  Then on top of all that they tell that they are not getting good financial advice.  I ask them who they get career and financial advice from and most of them say their "friend".  This is where the issue lies.

 

If you want to make $200,000 per year you need to align yourself with someone who has made $200,000 per year before.  Someone who has only made $100,000 cannot tell you how to make $200,000 per year.  You must duplicate the systems and processes from those that have already accomplished what it is that you are looking to accomplish. 

 

my current personal goal is to make a 7 figures per year income with my gold and silver company. http://numisnetwork.com/peterolsen  I am so fortunate because my partner and mentor is a previous 7 figuer per year earner.  He knows how to make a million dollars per year.  He has done it many times!  When you have your mentor in place now you have to ask good questions and listen a majority of the time.  Listen to every detail how they do a particular task or how they speak to someone on the phone.  Often times the difference between a 6 figure and 7 figure earner are only tiny little things that seem unimportant but are actually crucial.

 

Who is your Financial Mentor?  Is it your dad? Uncle? Neighbor? If it is they better have already produced the financial results in their past that you wish to achieve or else their advice is worthless.

The Power Of Just Doing It!

Last week one of my star colleagues in my downline at Numis... http://numisnetwork.com/peterolsen  had his first weekly meeting in Missoula, Mt for our company.  As all of us know speaking can be a traumatic experience in our minds because of our false fears we hold inside.  He had decided that a weekly meeting would be a wonderful thing to do to build momentum for his biz and an awesome growing experience for himself as well.

So Charles did what 99% of the population never does.  He made a decision, scheduled a time and place for the meeting, overcame his fears and held his first overview in Missoula.  That is huge!  I was so proud of him for doing that because not only is it going to skyrocket his momentum but it also helped me because I did half the presentation.  The meetings each week will continue to get bigger and bigger and bigger as word spreads and momentum builds.  Speaking in front of a few people will be the building blocks necessary to speak in front of hundreds one day.

What is the message here for you?  Stop thinking about what your going to do and go out and take massive action!  It might feel or sound scary but it really isn't whatever that particular thing is for you!  Diving into the pool instead of dipping your toe in is so much more rewarding and financially will pay wonderful dividends for your business.

How 3 Simple Steps Turned my Business Into Straight Momentum!

No matter what industry or business you own most business owners struggle because they do not have a simple duplicatable process to run their business.  Most are all over the place with no productive day to day activity.  When I discovered the power of a simple 3 step system my business took off!

I am a Numis Network Representative and leader, http://numisnetwork.com/peterolsen , and one of the secrets to my fantastic success has been a simple 3 step process.  The importance in the 3 steps is that not only can I do it but anyone I bring into my company can do it.  We call that a duplicatable process.  Most can't make fancy websites or build funnels or become Twitter Guru's but everyone can work on themselves, go through our thorough star builder training workbook and make a warm market list of those they know.  Now these are our simple 3 steps for what we do but you may not even be in this industry and thats ok.  You can still simplify your business by breaking down your biz into the most important steps that affect that bottom line and that is called income generation.

Why Working On You Is Much More Important Than Working On Your Biz!

I just got back from a 3 day training with my company Numis Network, http://numisnetwork.com/peterolsen  , and it was simply amazing.  It was 3 days of learning, interacting with the other leaders in the company and expanding my mind so that my business can expand!  I go to every training because it is a must for me to get better so my business can get better.

So many people I speak with never work on bettering themselves mentally.  What do I mean by that?  Bettering yourself means going to "Voluntary" trainings your company or industry hold, listening to success folks like Jim Rohn or Tony Robbins, or ready Success Magazine.  These things are so critical because if you just pound away at your business and don't arm yourself with better mental tools your business will stay stagnant and not grow.

 

Working on yourself also allows not only you to grow but to assist others on your team or in your company to grow also.  Its an incredible residucal effect that comes from your personal growth.  So make a committment to yourself to start listening to or watching or reading material that is going to help you grow and watch your business go to new heights!

How To: Move From Where You Are In Business Now To Reaching All Your Goals!

I just finished reading an article in Success Magazine yesterday and it gave 3 fantastic steps of how to get from where you are now to reaching all your goals in 2012!  How you ask?  Let me share what the article talked about...

 

1. Take out a sheet of paper and write down exactly where you are today in regard to to your finances, weight loss, business, marriage, relationships, family etc etc

 

2. Take out a 2nd sheet of paper and write down where you want to be by the end of 2012 in these same categories.

 3. On the 3rd sheet of paper your going to write down all the things you are going to GIVE UP in order to accomplish those goals!  So if your goal in 2012 is to lose 50 lbs what are you going to give up to reach that accomplishment?  You want to triple your sales this year in your business?  What are you going to give up to get there?  Maybe your going to give up your softball games twice a week and you will put in extra hours working instead. 

 

You always have to give up something in order to accomplish something else.  Its a sacrafice and at the same time its a balance.  What are you going to give up to accomplish your goals in 2012?

How Transparency in Social Media Can Make You A Fortune!

I get asked often why in the world I would have my personal phone number on the background of my Twitter page for all 268,700 followers to see??  People think I am crazy!  They think I have lost my mind having that number out in the open for everyone to call!  I say its brilliant and its why transparency is one of the big keys to making a fortune in your business utilizing social media.

So why is transparency so critical in social media?  Why do I put out my personal number for hundreds of thousands of people to call me?  Very simple.  The more transparent you are in what you do the more trust you get immediately!  The more trust you have from someone the more likely they are to purchase your product and refer you to other people.  It also gives customers the sign that you are open and are not hiding behind something trying to trick them.  It shows them that here you are, this is what you do, you can call  day or night and you will be there to answer any questions.

 

Get out there and let people know how to contact you.  The phone conversations you will have will amaze you and the incredible people and customers you meet will be from around the globe!  How exciting is that!  Be open and transparent and watch your social media and business take off!

Why Are Lists on Twitter So Important?

Lists on Twitter are incredibly important for your success growing and connecting your business with the globe on Twitter.  Below are the different reasons Lists on Twitter are crucial.

1.  First you get to create your own lists and put different followers into different categories to find them quickly and easily.  For instance if you were clothing retailer you may want to put some of your competitiors in a particular list.  Family members could go into another list.  Those you find inspirational into another list etc etc.

2. Then there are lists other people have that you follow.  This is fantastic.  It could be an amazing list that someone puts together that applies to what you do or simply a list you find very interesting.  Twitter allows you to follow other peoples amazing lists!  So cool!

3.  Now under your profile tab there will be a category called Listed.  This referes to how many people have you listed on their lists.  Why is this so important?  Because the more lists your on the more exposure you get.  For instance I am currently on 2971 lists which gets me exposed to hundreds of more thousands of people on Twitter!  How cool is that!

 

How do you get on other peoples lists?  All you have to do is be interesting.  You should tweet good content.  Take an interest in others and they will take an interest in others.  Provide value to others and you will have others start putting you on their lists!

How To: Attract Followers Who Are Interested in Your Business on Twitter!

I often get asked how do I attract those followers who are on Twitter who would be looking for the product or business I offer?  This is certainly a loaded question with many different answers.  Here are some of my tricks and beliefs that I utilize on Twitter  http://twitter.com/peteolsen  to help you gain interested followers.

1. Go to your search bar and type in keywords that have to deal with your business.  Follow all of those people that come up in the search.  Do this over and over again daily with different keywords and follow those people.

2.  Once you have done that go into some of those followers accounts and follow all of their followers.  Take a quick glance to see if they seem to have quality people and follow all of their people.  As you can see this can keep you busy for the rest of your life!  This will provide you with followers who could be very interested in your business and product.

3.  Now for my personal opinion.  I think it is important to follow EVERYONE!  Everyone knows 10 people in this world that you do not know!  One of those 10 could be a huge account for you.  You never know who someone knows!!!  Don't prejudge!

4.  Now that your followers are growing go in and get to know 5 of your followers a day personally!  Take an interest in them.  Ask them about their company, family and what they like to do.  If you show an interest in them they will show an interest in you.
